LETTER TO DEALERS
May 5, 2008
Northland-Marvel
To Build New Manufacturing and
Innovation Center in Michigan
As an important partner of our business we would
like you to be one of the first to know about exciting changes that will be
taking place. These changes will strengthen our relationships and will enable
continued success into the future.
Over recent months the senior management team of Northland-Marvel and its parent
company, the Aga Foodservice Group, have been reviewing the structure of the
company to identify the best business model.
The objectives of this model are to improve our manufacturing capabilities,
increase operational efficiencies, accelerate product innovation, enhance our
customer service, to improve our already high product quality, and further
enhance our business with you.
Today the management of Northland-Marvel has entered into discussions with Union
representatives of the Richmond, Indiana facility regarding the consolidation of
both the Richmond and Greenville, Michigan facilities into a new manufacturing
and innovation center based in Michigan.
We believe this will give us the improvement opportunities identified above and
support our strategic objective of becoming the premier under-counter
refrigeration manufacturer in North America.
We have taken the appropriate steps to ensure that the supply of product
continues without disruption during this transition phase. While we have no
defined end date to this process, it is our objective to be fully operational in
our new facility in the spring of 2009.
We will continue to keep you updated in detail, as things progress. These are
exciting times for all of us within the Northland-Marvel family.
If you have any questions with regards to the content of this letter, now, or at
anytime in the future, please do not hesitate to contact either of us at your
convenience.
Thank you again.
