Air King adds a line of pro-hoods providing many of the best features of earlier entrants. These 304SS hoods features options of 300, 600, 900, 1200 CFM blowers, halogen lights, 175W IR lamps, and baffle filters.

Allure Killer
4-1/2" high Broan "Allure" killer hood with HVI certified performance of 380 CFM and 8 Sones. Available in 30" and 36", in white, black, bisque and stainless steel. We commend Air King for HVI certifying these units, but as their Euro-style hoods launched in 2001 are not certified, their claims of 500 CFM for those units are more than questionable.

Air King introduced 2 new 30" and 36" wall chimney hoods and 1 new 36" island chimney hood supplied by CATA of Spain. All with 3 speed mechanical controls, (2) 40 Watt incandescent lamps, dishwasher safe aluminum filters, and with the purchase of a charcoal filter accessory one has the option of non-ducted installations. Though not HVI tested, Air King claims that in-house tests to HVI standards show a CFM performance of 500 CFM (the website says 475 CFM but why quibble?) The copper Cantabria is made with real copper and clear coated to prevent tarnishing. Additional sizes and models are foreseen. Air King primarily markets through HVAC dealers and Electrical Distributors. Available now. Retail: $800 to $2300.
