Prototype 220V Combi Washer Dryer
Claimed to be the first 220V powered Combi Washer / Dryer. Equator claims that this baby solves the problems of all other combi units, employing 220V juice to speed through both washing and drying faster than two stand-alone machines could do consecutively and a fraction of the time of standard 110V combi units.. Unit features, 1000 RPM spin cycle, 1 to 1-1/2 hr wash and dry times, Sensor dry and the power of 220V and 5000 watts. Equator also claims 15 patents including for internet connectivity and cell phone activation, which we imagine could be useful if you want the laundry to finish just as you get home so one can fold before wrinkles set in. In reminds us of the Sanyo top loading washing drying combo launched at the 2005 KBIS. Click on Miscellaneous to see Sanyo's 2005 unit. Prototype had no set date of production.

The Famed Swedish Vestfrost Fridge
Equator now is the national distributor for Vestfrost refrigerators. Equator's high efficiency bottom mount "Eco Fridge" refrigerator is 6'7" tall, 12 cu ft, manual defrost, and has dual compressors. For reasons beyond us, these units are not qualified for Energy Star since they are manually defrosted even though they have a much higher efficiency than Energy Star qualified auto-defrost units of similar size. Does this blow your mind too, or are we alone on this? High efficiency manual defrost units are penalized since they do not offer the additional power guzzling feature. Available now.
