2006 Kitchen & Bath Show Introductions
French Door Oven  Best of Show
Sure Jade marketed this product as the first French door oven, and although that would be an untruth considering that Frigidaire had one over 50 years ago (see Frigidaire RBW-90, RBW-92), we still love this thing.  We never blame marketers for using all of their brain power but still  coming up short.  As of 12/06, this unit is still missing from their website.
The oven features mechanically connected doors, i.e. pull 1 door, and both doors open.
With the oven supplied by Maytag, and Jade having being cut loose from from the Whirlpool/Maytag family, it is unknown what is to become of this product in the future.

Introduction of the Plancha
A new name, an exotic backstory, all for a slightly sloping griddle.  Have we missed anything?
An 18K BTU Spanish-style griddle called a Plancha.  Which in Spanish means: "Hot flat thing on 4 un-even legs"

2004 Kitchen & Bath Show Introductions
Jade emerged from an extended period of restructuring with a tight and trendy new booth and many stylish products in several categories never before served by Jade.  A full product line is the strategy de jour and believed to be the cost of entry in high end.

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue
Jade introduced their first ever wall ovens, borrowed from Jennair.  Available in 27" and 30", single and double configurations and featuring 3500Watt bake, a 8-1/2 minute preheat to 350F, 13 cooking functions, self-clean, a 2-speed fin dispersed convection system and a blue oven can.  Jade customized the Jennair oven with some design and interface changes including cast knobs, and touch sensor glass controls.  Available August 2004.

Gunboat Pompocity
For when nothing else quite says "my assets are bigger than your assets", Jade offers well heeled residential customers the "Residential Waldorf". The Waldorf is a set of stainless modules which can be customized with various combinations of ovens, burners, griddles, French top, wok, sinks, stainless countertops, cabinets, plate racks and ventilation.  This is a Jade Commercial solution adapted for Jade's Residential product and for use by the domestic help in homes where the owner has never quite gotten around to figuring out where the kitchen is.

Extreme Makeover Part Duex
Since our 2003 report, the Jade industrial designers have not put down their pens.  The prototype cooktops and dual fuel ranges of the 2003 show had a distinctly new look from then current product, but as far as can be determined, never reached production.  The designers revisited many of these changes with a newer new look in the 2004 prototypes.

Currently Available Models (as of August 2004)

2003 Kitchen & Bath Show Introductions

".......Shaved Their Butts and Learned to Walk Backwards?"
All Dynasty Range products have been rebranded as "Jade Range" (except outdoor BBQ) aligning the brand with its parent, Jade Products Group, a maker of commercial ranges.  This sounds innocent enough until you consider that "Jade" had no meaning (i.e. Jade = 0 value) with Dynasty's customers, and that the marketing materials coming out of the company was not indicative of a simple name change but of a complete reinvention.
Their press releases use phrases which bend reality:
"As it enters the home appliance market, Jade is applying its quarter century of experience in restaurant kitchens....."
"Jade Products Company, a leader in commercial cooking equipment, now offers an expanded line of professional-grade residential appliances."
"Commercial Cooking Leader, Jade Range, Introduces Residential Line"
As if Dynasty had not existed for years.  Airbrushed out of history.
Was the "Dynasty" brand too damaged to have any value or too weak to worry about?  Much more likely the later, but neither that, nor the disenfranchisement of the "Dynasty" customer base is a thing to be proud of.  At least Dynasty found success (or at least nostalgia) with BBQ at hearth dealers, which is all that remains of the "Dynasty" dynasty.

Moniker Mania
Jade picked out a Jennair dishwasher and (2) built-in fridges and put the Jade name on...........

Finally Meeting the Competition
Jade is launching the 36" Dual Fuel Range with 16.5K BTU sealed burners and a self clean, convection electric oven.  Top configuration available with 6 burners, 4 burners with a griddle, or 4 burners with a BBQ.  All dual fuel units feature sealed burners, while all gas ranges feature only open burners.  The cooktops can be purchased either with sealed or open burners.
